When it comes to building, we think differently. We put you first. That’s why we specialise in timber-frame homes and extensions, even though we can build using any combination of materials or methods – timber gives you more creative freedom. And it’s why our process is all about you.

Because we’re craftspeople by nature and master carpenters by trade, we have a custom-build mindset.

We believe that, if you’re investing in a home-building or home-improvement project – emotionally and financially – you deserve the home of your dreams, not compromises.

For us, that means taking care of every detail as personally and professionally as if we’re building our own home, whether you already have architect’s plans or you’re just starting with a rough idea.

What do we do? Everything

We can handle as much or as little as you want – our level of involvement is up to you, too. But rest assured, we can take your project from planning to design to construction to handover. Here’s how:

Initial contact and consultation

Call us on 1300 798 360, email us at info@saltusbuilt.com.au or complete our contact form to arrange a no-obligation consultation. We’ll discuss your project, goals and budget and share our initial ideas, insights and experience with you, at no charge. Assuming you’d like to proceed with us, we’ll then provide an estimate for your project.

Design and quote

Next, we provide a formal quote for your project. If you already have plans, we’ll use them as a basis for the quote; if you don’t, we can work with our design partners to develop the design for your project and then quote accordingly. We’ll also provide a Preliminary Agreement to cover initial costs (i.e. for measuring the site, testing the soil, engineering, drafting etc).

Contract, working drawings and council approvals

With our quote accepted, we’ll draw up a construction contract and work with our design partners (or yours) to finalise working drawings and engineering plans before submitting all necessary documentation to your local council for approval.

Construction

This is where your dream comes to life. As soon as we’ve received council approval, we’ll schedule your project and embark on construction. As the construction process unfolds you’ll get to meet more of our team and specialist tradespeople – we pride ourselves on making the entire process a personal and enjoyable experience for everyone, especially you.

Completion and handover

Project complete: with everything finished to the highest standards – your standards – all that’s left to do is handover the keys to your new home or modular building or, if we’ve helped your extend or renovate your home, leave you to enjoy your new space.

A collaborative process, with you at the centre

Our entire process is highly collaborative – in our experience, it’s the best way to achieve the best result. That’s why we use cloud-based software to keep you up to date at every stage of your project.

We’ll give you a custom log-in to your online project portal, accessed via our website or app. It enables you to see the project schedule, approve important documents, make material selections and view a regularly updated library of images, so you can see how your project is progressing, anytime.
