Our client asked us to give their home in Perth’s northern suburbs a Sunset Coast makeover, transforming their relatively plain, uninspiring brick house into a contemporary beachside home.

We set about the renovation by battening over the brickwork and then cladding the facade with Scyon Linea weatherboards, replacing the old aluminium window frames with new cedar frames and switching the tired roof tiles for corrugated Colorbond sheeting.

At the same time, we removed a structural brick pier in the old garage and installed new beams to create a double garage, while adding a new entry, complete with feature ceiling panels and spotted gum seating and planter box for an authentic Western Australian beachside look and vibe.
